Real Estate Law

Real estate law covers the acquisition, ownership, possession of and borrowing against houses, land and flat ownership.
Furthermore, a specific law now covers real estate property.

The certification of agreements in this field is incumbent on notaries. Since they are obliged to remain neutral they are not allowed to explicitly mention to persons involved that a deal is unfavourable. Especially in cases where private persons face business partners that are economically far more powerful than themselves, it is therefore advisable to search legal advice and to have agreements closely examined. A lawyer can uncover the risks of a deal, have the agreement improved for the client’s party or advise clients against unfavourable deals.

I have been involved with the real estate market in Berlin for some time and therefore know the market inside out. This enables me to give you advice on an object that might go beyond legal considerations. Furthermore, in case of doubt, a cooperation with independent real estate experts offers the opportunity of determining the property’s real value.

As for performing legal due diligence, I am cooperating closely with RA Julia Schmidt.
